MSD Animal Health is a global company dedicated to improving the health, well-being, and performance of animals. IDAL is a product brand within the pig sector, offering a proven, needle-free technology that replaces traditional needles and syringes. Together with a range of intradermal vaccines, it represents the most advanced method for vaccinating pigs today.
Challenge
MSD Animal Health faced the challenge of raising awareness among veterinarians and farmers about a safer alternative to traditional needle-based pig vaccinations. We needed to communicate the benefits of the IDAL 3G needle-free technology alongside the Porcilis vaccine portfolio, positioning them together as a modern solution for improved animal welfare. This required a clear, unified message adaptable to both print and digital channels.
Result
The launch of “The IDAL Way” successfully conveyed that there is a new approach to pig vaccination. This concept created a clear visual and conceptual identity, symbolized by a unique logo that united the IDAL 3G and Porcilis brands, and emphasized their complementary roles in advancing animal welfare.
In a creative twist, pigs were represented as delicate, floating bubbles—a visual meant to highlight both their beauty and vulnerability. The contrast of bubbles near a cactus subtly conveyed the potential for pain and stress in traditional vaccination, resonating with veterinarians and farmers. Early feedback showed strong engagement, as the concept struck an emotional chord with the audience, reinforcing the importance of a gentler approach. This campaign not only generated interest and discussion around needle-free technology but also strengthened the bond between IDAL and Porcilis as a unified solution for modern pig health.
The campaign kicked off with a compelling video, which effectively explained the synergy between needle-free technology and a comprehensive vaccine portfolio.
There is another

All Porcilis vaccines were rebranded to align with the IDAL Way logo. We used existing brand colors to maintain brand recognition.
Existing print materials, such as vaccination brochures, were rebranded to unify the concept.
